Located in Chicago’s historic Old Town neighborhood, The Fireplace Inn has been known for serving the best barbecue in the city since 1969. This family business has a really cool story, that they proudly share on their website – check it out. I love the part at the end about Dick Novak turning operations of this successful business over to his children so he could focus on his golf game without the aggravation of running the restaurant. Awesome. I hope he is knocking down the flag stick every day…
