Last week Luke Pearson (Lift Films) and I traveled to Gilbert, AZ to work on the next segment for the Restaurant Owners Uncorked video series. We filmed interviews with Joe Johnston (Joe’s Real BBQ, Liberty Market, Joe’s Farm Grill) and Tad Peelen (Joe’s Real BBQ, Joe’s Farm Grill).
I knew from interviewing these guys for our book, Restaurant Owners Uncorked, that Joe and Tad are really sharp guys, but I wasn’t prepared for how incredible it is to see their restaurants operate. They’re perpetually crowded, they serve awesome food, and their staffs are as welcoming and happy as any I’ve seen.
