Schedulefly at more than one job…

As we talked about many times in the past – we don’t sell have sales people at Schedulefly. We don’t have “boots on the ground” visiting restaurants and we don’t have an inside sales team making cold phone calls and filling up a CRM with leads. We’ve taken a different approach and pushed all our chips in on good old fashioned word of mouth. The way I see it, it’s THE BEST way to build a subscription software business – that is, if very high renewal rates are important to you. A huge % of the customers we serve heard about us from a trusted source or have used us in the past. While our overall number of customers added each month is certainly smaller than it could be – the rate at which they renew is much higher.

Anyway – that’s not the reason for this post. It simply explains why we have so many people that use Schedulefly at more than one job. Word spreads locally – literally block to block. We have entire streets in the top foodie cities in the country using Schedulefly. I just checked our database this morning – and more than 10,000 people use Schedulefly at more than one job. More than 1,000 use it at 3 or more. So last year, to help make things easier, we added an easy way to setup up a link between someone’s accounts so they did not need to remember multiple logins. They could login in to one and then toggle to the others. It’s been a huge help for them. In fact – if they click “stay logged in” on our mobile site and save the page to their home screen – they are on touch away from everything they need at all their jobs. More recently – we made this feature available for them to setup without our help. It’s now self-service and I made a quick video to explain how it works.
